David Billa Movie Review
David Billa Movie Review:
Story:
A lakan refugee named David Billa enters India and fights against the injustice at the camp. Meanwhile, he wants to become a don and in this mission, he comes across a hardcore antagonist Abbas (Sudhanshu Pandey). David joins hands with him and takes some risky projects. After some days, the rise of the David irks Abbas and plans to kill him. Meanwhile, Pandey gets killed by Billa, who later rules the entire network of Abbas. The rest of the flick showcases how David Billa rules the underworld mafia.
Performances:
Ajith has delivered an extraordinary performance in both dimensions as refugee and gangster. He is the show stealer. Ajith is convincing as a don with his remarkable performance. Dialogues spoken by the star actor will enthrall his fans. Leading ladies, Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdullah are very good looking in the film, but they have less screen presence to show their skills in acting. Bruna’s bikini scene will enthrall front benchers.
Vidyut Jamwal and Sudhanshu Pandey are apt as villains. Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja will surprises each and every one with his gangster act at the ending, he done well in his part.
Technical Analysis:
RD Rajasekhar’s Cinematography will score full marks and it is the main asset of the film. His camera work has made the film look very stylish on screen. Dialogues are sharply penned. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music is average in songs, but his BGM has elevated major scenes. Screenplay written by Chakri Tholeti falls short in second half. Crispy editing and racy narration is much needed for this stylish action entertainer and the film is lack of it.
Analysis:
First-half the film will establish the story and characters, while the second hour looses the gripping moments. The film will entertain in parts. Action sequences are brilliantly filmed and choreographed as well. However, some will miss the logic, especially helicopter scene.
Verdict:
David Billa will surely liked by hard core fans of the Ajith. The film sustains momentum in parts and the rest is ok. Catch it once for Ajith, stunts and stylish taking.
