Sakuni Movie Review
A soft guy Kamal Krishna (Karthi) who lives lives in Samarlakota moves to Hyderabad in order to meet C.M Chief Minister Bhoopathi (Prakash Raj) as his ancestral property will get ceased by government for a railway project. So, He tries to submit a petition to Chief Minister of the state. Meanwhile, Kamal comes to truth about C.M Bhoopathi, who is main person behind railway project. What’s the nest step taken up by Kamal to revolt against Prakash Raj, should be watched on big-screens.
Performances:Karthi has delivered brilliant performance in the character of Kamal he excelled in dances and fights. He looked good in His costumes, especially as a political leader. Pranitha is talented and gorgeous, but she got very limited screen presence to prove her talent. Santhanam’s comedy track is the only soul for first half. The rest of the cast Radhika, Roja, Prakash Raj and Kota Srinivasa Rao has done their justice in their roles.
Analysis:The first half of the movie is a bit weak with boring moments, while second half has got good pace after entering into the basic plot. Director should incorporate some build up scenes on hero for this type political drama, Shankar Dayal failed here. However, some dialogues and scenes on current political parties attract audience,
Technicalities:Director Shankar Dayal has let this political drama down with boring screenplay and equally same narration. Cinematography is at topnotch, while editing scores average. Some cuts should be given in the first half as there are unwanted scenes without going to the main plot. GV Prakash’s music in songs is soothing, but re- recording is unimpressive. Good Back ground score is essential for these type of political genre films. Dialogues are thought provoking in Sakuni Movie.
Verdict: entertains in parts. This film will surely get liked by Telugu audience as it deals with current political issues and they remind us present A.P state politics. Sakuni is a one tine watchable.
