Uu Kodatara Ulikki Padatara Movie Review:

Story:

Head of the Rudrapaneni family, Narasimha Rayudu is the heir of Gandharva Mahal and he treats the mansion as the symbol of his fore fathers. All will have their eye on this Mahal and plans to grab it from the hands of Rayudu. Sonu Sood is one among them; he marries Balakrishna’s sister and will get the Gandharva Mahal as a part of the dowry. Later, he kills his wife and plans to wed his lover Amruthavalli (Lakshmi Prasanna), who is the daughter of a prostitute. Knowing all these incidents, Narasimha Rayudu will get angry on Sonu and kills him and he also gets killed in the quarrel. What happens later in this interesting Uu Kodatara Ulikki Padatara story and how Manchu Manoj is related to Mahal should be watched on big screens.

Performances:

Manchu Manoj had delivered a matured performance in the film, his solid diction is worth mention. Nandamuri Balakrishna is the show stealer in the entire movie, his acting, dialogue delivery and histrionics are versatile. Manchu Lakshmi surprises with her impeccable performance at the climax. Sonu Sood shines in his short but key role, his character has some shades of Pasupathi in Arundhathi. Deekshaseth is just for skin show, nothing to do more.  Prabhu, Bhanu Chander, Sai Kumar, Dharmavarupu and others done their parts well.

Technical Performances:

Director Shekar Raja failed to narrate the interesting story line in a commendable way. Gripping narration and tight screenplay are totally absent in Uu Kodatara Ulikki Padatara. Songs composed by Bobo Sasi are big let down in the film, while Anuragame Harathulayya (Vidya Sagar composition in Tamil) has repeat value. Rerecording by china is refreshing, he given his best at climax. MR Varma editing is okay, while Rajashekar’s cinematography is major asset. Dialogues penned by Lakshmi Bhupal are clicked in parts.

 Analysis & Verdict:

The first half of the movie has some comedy elements, but the flow without dealing the main story bores audience, while second half has some gripping moments, but falls in parts. Balakrishna’s screen presence for about approx. 20 min is the saving grace of this Uu Kodatara Ulikki Padatara film. There is no title justification seen through out the movie.

Watch the UKUP for Balakrishna and Lakshmi Prasanna, the duo excelled in the climax episode.

 Points: 3/5
